Rudolf Eb.er has released more than 100 CD's and albums internationally, and is considered as one of the leading artists in the noise and experimental vocal scene. Born austrian and grew swiss, he is expert in scientific illustration, martial and therapeutic arts, and is founder of the audio-artists and aktionist collective 'SCHIMPFLUCH' in 1987. Early sonic studies examined the importance of timing, the power of silence, and developed shocking and confusing-precise cut-up compositions, 'aural alchemism', of documented extreme-situations, psycho-field-recordings, and direct actionism - an actionism of the unexpected. Regarded as 'art-brut shamanist', Eb.er's path leads down thru the unconscious, deepest regions of human psyche and animal instinct. Abreactive outbursts arranged in the high art of timing, as mediated in disciplines such as kung-fu, confront all senses with existence - and open up the way to the higher being.
'RUNZELSTIRN & GURGELSTØCK' is another name for Eb.er's psycho-active audio-art and 'psycho-physical tests and trainings', performed and produced global. Eb.er, currently living in Japan, increasingly focus his 'purification rituals' on breathing exercices, concentrated chi-energy and shifting psycho-magic to enter the super-consciousness, the nondualist awareness of 'ultimate reality'.
EXTREME RITUALS contains two raw surgical wild tracks of 17 minutes, masterworks of intensity.

Rudolf Eb.er a sorti plus de 100 CD's et albums sur toutes sortes de labels internationaux et est considéré comme l'un des plus importants artistes actuels de la scène noise et vocale expérimentale. Rudolf Eb.er est autrichien et a grandi en suisse, il est expert en illustration scientifique, arts martiaux et thérapeutiques, et a fondé le collectif d'artistes-actionnistes sonores 'SCHIMPFLUCH' en 1987. Ses premières recherches soniques examinaient l'importance de la durée, la puissance du silence, et ont développé des compositions cut-up choquantes et paniquantes, 'alchimie auditive', documentations de situations extrêmes, psycho-field-recordings, et actionnisme direct - un actionnisme de l'inattendu.
Considéré comme 'shaman-art-brut', la voie d'Eb.er se forge au travers de l'inconscient, dans les régions les plus profondes de la psyché humaine et de l'instinct animal. Des éruptions abréactives arrangées dans des temporalités précises, canalisées dans des disciplines comme le kung-fu, confrontent tous les sens avec l'existence - et ouvre la voie à l'éveil.
'RUNZELSTIRN & GURGELSTØCK' est un autre nom pour l'audio art psycho-actif de Rudolf Eb.er' et ses 'tests et entraînements psycho-physiques', performés et produits partout. Eb.er, vit actuellement au japon, focalise graduellement ses 'rituels de purification' par des exercices de respiration, de concentration d'energie-chi et shifting psycho-magic pour entrer dans la super-conscience, l'éveil non-dualiste de la 'réalité ultime'.

European Sound Delta is an travelling artistic residency that took place during summer 2008 : two boats simultaneously navigated upstream on the Rhine and Danube rivers from the North Sea and the Black Sea to finally meet in Strasbourg. On board and in each of the stopover cities, thirty international artists were invited to record their sound environment (field recordings, interviews, electromagnetic and sub-aquatic spheres...) and to use the shared sound materials to compose pieces and produce live concerts along the itinerary.
At the end of this trip, a floating listening lounge is unfolding as an Archipelago of creations : embarked on a specially fitted sightseeing boat (under the boat transparent ’bubble’ roof : a 3000 Watts and a quadriphonic sound system !), one will discover there the sound pieces created on board by the residents but also the imaginary audio landscapes from some ten guest composers. These seven cruises along the Strasbourg canals will each be punctuated by a live per- formance taking place in a different background each time. At the same time, on the «Nuits Electroniques de l’Ososphère»’ site, the Mirror Ball installation will display visual documentation of the two parallel journeys.
A long vibratory cruise of nearly 3 month, ESD is closing as a final resonance of the sonic and aquatic waves of Strasbourg : Ososphère upon Ill.
European Sound Delta est une résidence artistique itinérante qui s’est déroulée pendant l’été 2008 : deux bateaux ont remonté simultanément le Rhin et le Danube depuis la Mer du Nord et la Mer Noire pour finir par se rejoindre à Strasbourg. A bord et dans chacune des villes-étapes, trente artistes internationaux ont été invités à enregistrer leur environnement sonore (field recordings, interviews, sphère électromagnétique, subaquatique...) et à se servir de ces matériaux mis en commun pour composer et produire des concerts tout au long des parcours.
A l’arrivée de ce périple, un salon d’écoute flottant explore cet archipel de créations : embarqué sur un bateau-mouche spécialement aménagé (la bulle abritte 3000Watts en quadriphonie), on découvre les pièces réalisées à bord par les résidents mais aussi les paysages imaginés par une dizaine de composi- teurs invités. Chacune de ces sept croisières sonores panoramiques est ponctuée par un live. Au même moment, sur le site des Nuits Electroniques de l’Osos- phère, l’installation Mirror Ball dévoile les images de la double traversée...
Longue croisière vibratoire de près de 3 mois, ESD s’achève en résonance finale avec les ondes soniques et aquatiques de Strasbourg : L’Ososphère sur L’Ill.

This 51 minutes three-part piece demonstrates the astonishing vitality of the 82-year old artist, who remains as forceful and passionate as ever.
Le pionnier légendaire de la poésie sonore Henri Chopin (1922 - 2008) livre ici sa dernière composition datant de novembre 2003, réalisée chez lui à Dereham en Angleterre avec son micro et son Revox stéréo. Cette pièce de 51 minutes en trois volets témoigne de la vitalité et de la créativité dont faisait preuve Henri Chopin qui travaillait encore à plus de 82 ans !, avec acharnement et passion.

Poetry of sound / sound of poetry. Erratum brings together personalities
both atypical and unclassifiable : outriders, stalkers, survivors
of the sonic crash zone, those transgressing the strictures and clichés
of unimaginative sound habits. Visual and sonic artists, bards, iconoclastic
noise makers come together to create a subtle, hybrid, ever-changing,
disseminated collective sonic psyche. From the time of Marcel Duchamp's
Musical Erratum and Luigi Russolo's Art of Noises in 1913 to the latterday
recuperation of software bugs, crashes, along with the eclectic array of contemporary poetical noise
praxis, there is a rich, complex and poorly understood history. Erratum's
aim is not so much to associate poetry and music as to seek out their
potential to merge : the crossovers, the openings, the interzones,
meetings and fault lines, the ineffable yet tangible open fusion,
that blends the different vibrations of voice, noise and electronics.
Erratum weaves a lively and diagonal concretion, an alternative to
restrictive and mechanical technological visions and it stands out
as a realm of a possible Utopia of the indivisible that leads towards
active questioning.
Poésie du son / son de la poésie, Erratum conjugue des personnalités atypiques et inclassables : passeurs-stalkers, accidentés du sonique et transgresseurs de pratiques sonores formatées. Plasticiens, poètes et expérimentateurs du bruit s’articulent et forment un égrégore sonore hybride, mouvant, diffus et discret. Depuis l’Erratum Musical de Duchamp (1913) et le manifeste futuriste de l’art des bruits de Russolo (1913) jusqu’aux erreurs informatiques détournées et autres bruits poétiques contemporains, le parcours est riche, complexe, historiquement confus.
Erratum ne recherche pas les juxtapositions entre poésie et musique mais leurs potentiels fusionnels : les croisements, les glissements, les interzones et autres interstices rares, l’indicible alliage ouvert et sensible entre les différentes vibrations vocales, bruitistes et électroniques. Erratum tend à créer du lien entre des pratiques parfois opposées dans un esprit d’ouverture, de mixage, d’impureté et de distance critique face aux grappes tendancieuses et consanguines. Erratum dessine une concrétion vivante et transversale, une alternative aux strictes visions mécanistes et technoïdes et s’affirme comme un territoire de l’utopie possible de l’indivisible et du glissement vers le doute actif.
